Medals and Ribbons

I have been in the Marine Corps since 1997.  Over the years I have seen my share of poorly mounted, crooked, wrinkled, and just downright embarrassing displays of medals.  I have also paid exorbitant amounts of money to get my medals mounted and received an incorrect and poorly put together stack.  I feel your pain.

I have also seen just about all of the things a person can do wrong with their ribbon mounts.  Super glue rings, hot glue blobs, and crooked devices from the wearer actually using the metal prongs plague all branches of service.

It is for those reasons that I got into medal and ribbon mounting.  My perfectionist attitude – and borderline OCD – will serve you well!

If I wouldn’t wear it on my chest, I wouldn’t expect you to wear it on yours.

Display Cases and Shadow Boxes

My grandfather began teaching me the art of woodworking from the time I was old enough to hold a hammer.  I also understand the importance of the items that go inside.  Whether it is a miniature medal display case or a 4′ long shadow box display of your sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears.  As such, it should be made with care and pride.

Every item that leaves my woodshop is hand made using high quality solid hardwood.  I will not use pressboard, particle board, or MDF with some laminate coating.  Don’t your ribbons, medals, or items in your shadow box deserve that?

If I wouldn’t hang it on my wall or sit it on my desk, I wouldn’t expect you to put it on yours!
